The City of Atlanta’s Moving Her Forward Capstone, led by the Mayor’s Office of One Atlanta, is a virtual leadership experience designed to engage girls across FIFA World Cup 2026TM host cities. Participants explore leadership, child rights, civic engagement, and personal growth while building a stronger sense of who they are, what is possible, and the power they carry.

"Thank you for being here. I am so happy you are part of the Moving Her Forward Capstone.
I have worked with the City of Atlanta since 2023. A big part of my job is helping women and girls feel seen, supported, and strong. This capstone is very special to me.
As I matriculated through school and early life, I did not always have tools like this to help me build confidence, use my voice, and see myself as a leader. That is one big reason why I wanted to help create this for you.
The idea for this capstone came from my work with the Mayor's Women of Atlanta Advisory Council and while leading the International Day of the Girl Subcommittee. In 2025, we started thinking about how we could give girls something that would last longer than just one event. We wanted to create something that could keep helping girls learn, grow, and shine.
This capstone also connects to the work Atlanta is doing as we prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2026TM. As we prepare to welcome the world to Atlanta, we also want to make sure young people are part of the legacy in their neighborhoods across all FIFA World Cup Host Cities. That means creating real opportunities for girls to build leadership skills, grow in confidence, and get ready for their future. The Moving Her Forward Capstone is one way we are doing that.
This capstone was made with you in mind. I hope it inspires you to dream big, recognize the power of using your voice to speak out against injustice, and serve as a reminder that everyday actions lead to big change. You have something special to offer to the world. Thank you for being part of this journey. I believe in you, and I am excited to see all the amazing things you will do."
